Hi, I hope you have all had a good couple of weeks, spring is in full bloom here in the UK and I am in awe of all the blooms and the new leaf buds bursting into beautiful fresh greens.

I have been itching to talk about yoga and meditation and how it has affected my creativity I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced this? If you feel stuck I recommend meditating, it does wonders for clearing your mind and allowing clarity to flow through to your creativity.

At the beginning of March, I was experiencing a block, I had painted two of my flow collection, I had no idea where else this collection could go, I set myself a goal by the end of march I wanted to have a collection of 15 pieces ready to send to printers for prints, however my goal was far too ambitious, and I decided instead of 15 pieces I will make 9, the way I came to this decision? Meditation... I meditated on the block of creative energy I had and saw in my minds eye a smaller collection so that's what I did, the collection came to me from creative consciousness, it was easy after that and I am now seeing triangles and geometric shapes so ill give you 3 guesses what might be in the next collection!

so on to yoga, this practice is amazing, I have chronic pain and it only stops when I am concentrating on my yoga flow, I do a very basic sun salutation in the morning to get my body ready for the day, I definitely need that morning stretch it doesn't really help with the pain but I don't expect it to, that said I feel more able to paint for longer, I don't paint much on the high pain days but I always do the yoga flow, I do 10 mins of yoga and 10 mins of meditation and for now this is more than enough for me. I'm sure it will increase as I cant wait for the next day to do more yoga, its addictive.

I hope you have a wonderful day see you next time XOXO
